International Food Standard
IFS is a common standard for all suppliers in the food industry. It is based on the Global Food Safety Initiative established in 2000 by CIES, the food business forum, to improve food safety standards. The aim of the initiative is to establish food safety standards for companies that supply the retail trade. It has compiled benchmarks for food safety standards, making it possible for individual standards to be generally accepted.
The private brewery Egger adheres to the strict guidelines of the International Food Standards and is IFS certified!
